Trouble shooting of Scales

Searching for common troubles :

Always check all connectors and cables first
Check that there is power to the indicator, 230VAC, battery eliminator or battery.
Check that the load cells are free and that there is no mateial between the load cells and the platform frame.

Indicator Trouble Solution

U1170 Ticking sound

Replace C13,1000µF 16V on power board

  Unstable signal

Replace all elektrolytic capacitors on the power board, and check that the Voltage Regulators has stable output.

  No signal

Replace the input amplifiers µA741, Lf351, LM308A

U1270
(Green display)
Unstable signal

Replace all elektrolytic capacitors on power board, and check that the Voltage Regulators has stable output.

  Ingen signal

Replace the input amplifiers 1052, TLC271

U1275
(Red display)
Unstable signal

Replace all elektrolytic capacitors on the power board, and check that the Voltage Regulators has stable output.

  No signal

Replace the input amplifiers TLC27L2, LTC1051

U137 Unstable signal

Resolder the transformer and all elektrolytic capacitors on power board, and check that the Voltage Regulators has stable output.

  No signal

Replace the input amplifiers LTC1051, TLC372, LMC660

U237 Unstable signal

Check that the battery eliminator has a stable output and minimum 12VDC and check that the Voltage Regulators on the power board has stable output.

  No signal

Replace the input amplifiers LTC1051, TLC372, LMC660

U2372 Shuts down during the start-up sequence.

Charge the battery and wait until the charger indicates fully charged battery and try turning on the indicator again.

If the problem still occurs:
Turn on the indicator with the charger connected to the indicator. If the indicator then starts, the battery is too weak and must be replaced.

If the problem still occurs:
Check the voltage of the battery when battery charger is connected. The voltage of the battery should increase when the charger is connected.
If not, check the fuses in the indicator and replace if a fuse is blown.
If the fuses are intact and the voltage of the battery does not rise over 12VDC when charger is connected, the charger must be replaced.

  On/Off -button does not work

Replace U14, U15 on Main Board pc 525

U160 Shuts down during the start-up sequence.

Charge the battery and wait until the charger (or the display of the crane scale in earlier versions) indicates fully charged battery and try turning on the scale again.
If the problem still occurs:
Turn on the scale with the charger connected to the scale. If the scale then starts, the battery is too weak and must be replaced. Contact Unisystem for more information.
If the problem still occurs:
Check the voltage of the battery when battery charger is connected. The voltage of the battery should increase when the charger is connected.
If not, check the fuses in the indicator and replace if a fuse is blown.
If the fuses are intact and the voltage of the battery does not rise over 12VDC(6VDC on earlier versions) when charger is connected, the charger must be replaced.
